Manning Announces Sixth District Class of 2029 Military Service Academy Nominations

Greensboro, NC – Today, Congresswoman Kathy Manning (NC-06) announced the class of 2029 military service academy nominations from North Carolina’s Sixth Congressional District.

To attend a military service academy, a student must earn the nomination from their congressional representative and be selected for appointment by the military academy. The nominated students from the class of 2029 were chosen from applicants across the Sixth District.  

“Earning a nomination to our nation’s military academies reflects an extraordinary level of commitment and ability,” said Congresswoman Kathy Manning. “These Sixth District students have chosen a path of service to our country, and I am proud to recognize their dedication.” 

Class of 2029 Nominees from North Carolina’s Sixth Congressional District: 

U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York

  • Olivia Mosca, The Early College at Guilford 
  • Katya Withrow, The Early/Middle College at UNCG

U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland
